Monday evening club night - everyone welcome. This evening we will have a session for everyone where we can discuss updates from head office, up and coming events etc. Afterwards, we talk about any and every subject - mostly related to motorbikes! We meet in the lounge of the Birtley Golf club in our own room. A full bar is available in the room so come see us! We talk about any and every subject - mostly related to motorbikes! Description
An informal gathering, please meet at the pub. Between April and September, there are Tuesday evening informal meetings at a different pub each week, except for club nights on the first Tuesday, which are always at the Hunters Hall. Riders congregate at the venues from around 6.00pm to 7pm (earlier in spring and autumn). All are welcome. There are no charges made at any of our normal meetings, but we do usually request a purely voluntary donation to the County Air Ambulance Trust and Prostate Cancer UK, the Section's two charities. 1926 ISDT Centenary Commemoration

A special one-off event to commemorate the 1926 ISDT, which was held in the Peak District. UPDATE 23rd March 2026 Our Guest of Honour is now confirmed - it's our local Trials hero Scott Ellis. He has an ISDT gold medal but doesn’t know where it is! As well as flagging everyone away, he has agreed to judge some awards back at Buxton after the run, and will hopefully persuade some other ISDT "old boys" to come along too. In the early days of motorcycling, long distance reliability trials were really big, and one of the biggest was the International Six Days Trial (ISDT). As repeated winners, Great Britain hosted 4 consecutive ISDT’s from 1925-1928. The VMCC is running centenary commemoration events for each. This will show the bikes off on some of the roads they would have been ridden on at the time. After a successful first event in 2025, the second in the series will be hosted by the North Staffordshire section. It will take place on Wednesday 17th June 2026 at Buxton, the location of the original 1926 event. The historic Pavilion Gardens will provide the setting for 100 bikes to enjoy a full day riding parts of the original 600 mile route around the Peak District.
